Position: Research Assistantship in Computing the Built Environment (2 Positions)

Research Lab: SIU - Urban Intelligence and Integrity Lab (URBiiLAB) 

Start Date: June or July 1st, 2023.

Academic status: Must be enrolled as a full-time student at SIU. 

Availability: Required to work during summer/winter intersessions.

Schedule: Work Block - Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday - 15-20 hours per week during the semester, with greater availability during breaks Enrollment.

We have two immediate open positions for research assistantship opportunity, which aims to bring together talented students interested in exploring the realms of big data and spatiotemporal data-driven model development and deployment. We are seeking students enrolled in engineering, geography/GIS, and sustainability programs at SIU. The preferred candidates for this position are those with strong computing skills, especially proficient in Python or R. While we give preference to PhD students, we also encourage Master of Science/engineering students who possess the required skills to apply.
